Conexão in Action

Glass fusing and sawing workshops were developed in 2004 and 2005. The output were home-made items and easily marketed artistic handcraft pieces. These products would guarantee both a revenue for the participant groups and support for the project.

Main activities carried out:

● Glass Fusing workshop: production of utilitarian items made out of recycled glass, such as trays, glasses, table games (tic-tac-toe)...
● Sawing workshop (for mothers): focusing on luggage items and laundry bags.
● Jewelry workshop: jewels made out of materials found in the nature. Raise awareness about the concept of "bio-jewelry"
● Participation in the "Alameda das Flores" Handcraft Fair, which took place in the Avenida Paulista (center of São Paulo). Exhibition and sales of the products.
● Social Web: product sales via internet.
● Establishment of the trademark "Tantos Brasis".
