Community at School

The programme was developed in partnership with LAEL- PUC/SP (a organization focused on public schools from the municipality of Carapicuiba). The reality surrounding these schools points out the need to involve not only pupils, but also their families and teachers in the process. By researching into new pedagogic activities, "Community at School" attempts to reach an inclusive educational model, adapted to the school s and community s reality and interests. The qualification of teaching staff was a prior need.

Main activities carried out:

● Target Population: teachers from the public schools network.
● Workshops took place in 2004 at local school "Salomão Jorge", during collective pedagogical meetings of the teaching staff.
