What is it and who is is for
The project is addressed to civil society and the academic community. It counts on the support of “Zen Comunicações”, the Municipality of Carapicuíba, Secretaries for Social, Cultural and Environmental Promotion, community leaderships and private initiatives that gather their efforts in order to live up to the community expectations, humanizing degrading settlements (favelas) in a sustainable way.

Why
The desired outcome is twofold: amelioration of health conditions and minimization of resources designated for treatment of diseases (most of them related to the lack of a proper sanitary sewage system).
Other targets are: minimizing the cost from water processing (due mainly to polluted sources), cleaning of river beds in the region, enhancing human potentiality, eradicating visual pollution and developing environmental preservation.

How
Promoting a crowdsourcing model, as well as a debate over citizenship and social leadership through a comprehensive action involving universities, companies and liberal professionals.
Seeking alternatives to urbanization (e.g. new material…) leading to a minimization of costs and rendering its management less hard.

Where
This project is being tested in “Campo da Bahia – Jardim Tonato” (an area provided by the municipality). A throughout analysis of the needs daunting this community has already been carried out, and now we are expecting new financial partners in order to resume the activities.
